This mono print, collage was made as reaction to the 2016 election. There are different quotes written on handmade paper expressing my angst and disbelief. The lines of color felt like a volcano erupting. I settled on the name, "Out of the Crucible" because I hoped that out of the fire, which I felt we were in, some good would come. How wrong I was...
