Sculpture
The Beach both Conceals and Reveals.
I Have To Be Aware of the Revelations.
I have recently begun fashioning sculptures made from found objects culled from the beach.
My interest in line has carried over into the sculptures. I am attracted to intricate root systems of driftwood that have a strong sense of line quality. I then accentuate the lines of the wood by adding gold, brass, and copper wire twisted around and growing out of the sculptures.
