This is a collage that represents my reaction to the January 6th insurrection. I was taken with the online image in the NY TIMES which appeared the following day. The capitol was silhouetted against the setting sun. The flag in front of the capitol was the only thing lit as if by some miraculous light. That image was very powerful, and I knew I had to do something with it to express my horror. In addition, there are quotes from Amanda Gorman's inaugural poem.
